Martin conducts educational seminars and officiates rum & cocktail competitions across the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. Martin is the owner and creator of the world-famous San Francisco bar, Smuggler’s Cove, which is the home of the largest rum collection in the United States. Martin also co-owns Whitechapel in San Francisco, Hale Pele in Portland, False Idol in San Diego, and Lost Lake in Chicago. Martin and his wife Rebecca wrote the James Beard award-winning book, Smuggler’s Cove: Exotic Cocktails, Rum, and the Cult of Tiki.
